Searching for a Vietnam Veteran
Posted By: Rachael Jacobs
December 23, 2020 12:07 AM
Hello, I am in need of some help!! My future Father-n-Law Gary Bischoff was in Vietnam with the 299 Combat Engineers company C. On November 11, 1967 he pulled a guy by the name of Frank Zimmerman out of a jeep that hit a landmine! The bumper on the jeep said 102 Landclearing Romeplow! Gary put the IV in Frank and went with him to a makeshift field hospital near Dak To. I am hoping that someone could either help me find Frank or a Family Member Please! This is one of the wishes Gary would love to do is see Frank and/or Family Member and see how he is! Thank you so much!! Rachael

search white pages sort by age and last name than make phone calls. I looked for my dad for 30 years and found him 10 years ago calling every powers and police officer. His family thought he was dead. turns out he was just homeless. if you realy want to find your friend do the search and make the phone calls. some one is related to your friend and people are a welth of information. check white pages get the names of people than do google search many results have addresses and phone numbers it is doable.

your travle orders has other names on it just incase you lost your plane ticket do a search for any one you may have travled with. Also We submit a specific request to the NPRC for any additional service records they may have or can find for you.
With the information we provide, the NPRC searches for documents that may help to reconstruct your records. They may also reach out to other government agencies. For example, they may try to reconstruct portions of your service treatment records by reviewing unit records, morning reports, and hospital admission records from the surgeon general's office. Letters or photographs from your time in the service You have your orders sending you there that shuld be good enough.

Hi! I know this is a long shot because I cannot remember his last name or unit...but I’m looking for someone that was stationed at Fort Carson in 1997. His name is Kevin. He was originally from the Boston area. He would be fairly easy to remember because he is 6’7”. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to know he is alive and doing well. You can email me @ kalani159@yahoo.com TIA

I was in ft carson from 1992 to 1996 got out in 97 and came back to Colorado. what unit were you in. than if he lived on base some times your orders had others names on it. old duty lists like cq or staff duty would have a list of names on it if he lived off post unit reports emergency phone call info would have last name on it. go through your paperwork and see if you have any kind of paperwork that has his name on it. if you had any other friend you do remember you can do a google search for another friend and ask them your friend Keven's last name. than simply google the friends name and age and look for results and start making phone calls. most people tend to stay in Colorado springs. especially if they got married there. I was hhb 5/29 and hhb 3/29 I was battalion fdc but more often than not i worked in s-3 duty rouster. that is what i was thanking about. I know the information is available. you just have to think out of the box. look for people you both knew first

we were probably in Germany together only i was in field artillery's my sister was in kitizigen Germany Harvey barracks. same time. if you want to find your friend start out with basic google search of your friends names than sort through the results there are many places that gives you a little information trying to get you to buy the service copy the information and narrow your google search with each result. I have found my dad after loosing him for 40 years my x fieanca from 30 years ago and she has been divorced a number of times and my big sister from 40 years ago when the program didnt have enough vonunters and i got a sister insted of a brother. and she graduated collige and moved to newmexico so you can find your friend. if i knew where they were from and age i may be able to do it for you. it just takes time how bad do you want to find your firend.

google search the names go through the results narowing each sight by age. white pages.com zabba people search there are other places that give results. it helps if you know where they were from because when people get out they either stay where they are or return home. not having a aproximat age or location no one can help you the more info you give it widens you net to peole like me that just search for people when you post give as much info age and posibly where they are from. and or last duty station because when search is done often times results has past addresses. its not that hard it just takes time. you can do it you dont have to pay these sights but it dont hurt to check them out to see if they give you any more information you can use to further your free searches on google. for instance been verified may list past addresses or family members record that information dont pay for the service just use the free information to narrow your search. classmates linked in and
