U.S. Navy Veteran (1964 - 1967)
Called up on active duty in 1964. Volunteered for mess duty to escape 1st division. Made rate as Commissary-man 3rd class (CS3) onboard Kenneth D. Bailey. At sea most of the time. Being a cook on board ship was great duty. Did 4 med cruises in 3 years
