Matthew Getchell • U.S. Army
My name is Matthew Getchell, Veteran of the US Army E-5 from 1968 to 1973. I am in search of anyone who I may have served with. I served in Vietnam but we just found out that my DD-214 does not list me as a Veteran of Vietnam. I am trying to work with the VA to have my DD-214 corrected. It's quite disburbing to know you fought in Vietnam but your DD-214 does not agree. If you remember me, I would like to hear from you. My nick name was Getch for those that knew me. Thank you, Matt Getchell

Jamie Stehlin • U.S. Army
Hi everyone, this may be a long shot, but I’m researching my grandfather, Earl K. Stehlin, and would love to connect with anyone who may have known him or has suggestions on where to look. Earl was born in 1930 in New Jersey and lived in Germany as a child before returning to the U.S. in 1946. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948, served during the Korean War era, and later served in Austria with U.S. Forces Austria / USAREUR. He was connected to Salzburg, Austria in the 1950s, around the time of the Austrian State Treaty and Operation Dismount in 1955. I’m especially interested in anything related to his time in Korea, Germany, Austria, Salzburg, U.S. Forces Austria, USAREUR, Operation Dismount, or any unit histories/photos from that period. I’d also be grateful for any memories, yearbooks, rosters, or ideas for veteran groups or archives that may have more information. Thank you so much. This is personal family research, and even a small lead would mean a lot.
