U.S. Navy Veteran (1976 - 1996)
I am now a retired IT Tech. Navy active duty was: Boot camp at Great Lakes (when there were 3), San Diego for Radioman A school, then flown to Naples Italy reporting to the USS Neosho (AO-143). Participated in the decommissioning of Neosho in Bayonne, NJ. TAD orders to USNS Pawcatuck AO-108. After 179 days on Pawcatauck was flown back home from Naples Italy. After leave time, reported to USS Bowen - FF-1079 (5/30/79-8/12/80). At the end of my 4 year enlistment, was discharged from the Navy while Bowen was in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Naval Ready Reserve: 1990-1996 Reserve center located in Wilmington, NC. Units served there were NCOS & Inshore Boat Unit.
