Combat Logistics Battalion 6 (CLB-6) is a logistics unit of the United States Marine Corps, based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Established in 2006, CLB-6 provides tactical logistics support to enable continuous operations for Marine forces. The battalion has deployed multiple times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, where it played a critical role in convoy operations, supply distribution, and maintenance. CLB-6’s efforts have been vital in sustaining Marine combat operations, earning recognition for their professionalism and dedication under challenging conditions.

Origins: Combat Logistics Battalion 6 (CLB-6) was originally activated as Combat Service Support Detachment 6 in September 2006 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
First Deployment: CLB-6 deployed for the first time in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007, providing logistics support to Regimental Combat Team 6 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
Redesignation: The unit was redesignated as CLB-6 in 2006, reflecting the Marine Corps' shift to a battalion structure for logistics units under the Logistics Combat Element.
Afghanistan Operations: CLB-6 played a key role in Operation Enduring Freedom, deploying multiple times to Afghanistan to support Marine and coalition forces in Helmand Province.
Female Engagement Teams: During deployments to Afghanistan, CLB-6 supported Female Engagement Teams (FETs), who worked with Afghan women in local communities to build trust and gather intelligence.
Convoy Security: CLB-6 has conducted thousands of miles of tactical convoy operations, often facing the threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and ambushes while delivering critical supplies.
