“The Backbone of the Box”: The Battalion is often referred to as "The Backbone of the Box," referencing the NTC’s vast desert training area, because it ensures that all units training at NTC have the supplies, maintenance, and support they need.
Multi-Function Support: The NTC Support Battalion is unique in that it combines several support functions under one command, including transportation, supply, food service, fuel, maintenance, and even medical support.
