Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 2nd Artillery (HHB, 1-2 Arty) has a distinguished lineage within the United States Army. Originally constituted in 1821 as part of the 2nd Regiment of Artillery, the unit has served in numerous conflicts, including the Mexican-American War, Civil War, and both World Wars.
