82nd Engineer Battalion Co. A

Served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1980. A 1977 graduate of Page High School in Greensboro, he signed his enlistment papers his senior year and trained as a combat engineer at Fort Leonard Wood. He spent two years with Co. A, 82nd Engineer Battalion in Germany, serving as a pioneer, and separated honorably as a PFC in 1980. He completed his Reserve obligation in 1982. He went on to build a life in Pleasant Garden, NC, where he worked for H.D. Supply and was a member of New Covenant Church. He passed away at home on December 31, 2016. He was the best dad any girl could have asked for. This profile is maintained by his daughter.
