The 560th Signal Battalion was originally constituted on 10 December 1941 in the Army of the United States as the 560th Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion. Activated on 15 January 1942 at Drew Field, Florida, the unit provided critical communications and radar support during World War II, participating in campaigns throughout the European Theater. After the war, the battalion underwent several redesignations and periods of inactivation and reactivation, adapting to evolving military communication needs. Today, the 560th Signal Battalion continues its legacy by delivering advanced signal support and communications capabilities in support of U.S. Army operations.
