The 526th Forward Support Battalion (FSB) was a key logistics unit in the U.S. Army, primarily assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Activated in 1992, the 526th FSB provided critical supply, maintenance, and medical support to frontline brigade combat teams. The battalion played a significant role during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, ensuring the 101st Division’s combat effectiveness through rapid, flexible support operations. In 2005, as part of the Army's transformation to modular brigade combat teams, the 526th FSB was inactivated and its elements reorganized into new brigade support battalions.
