The 407th Brigade Support Battalion (407th BSB) is a vital logistics unit in the U.S. Army, originally constituted in 1917 and tracing its lineage to World War I. The unit gained distinction as part of the 82nd Airborne Division, providing critical supply, maintenance, and medical support during major operations in World War II, including Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Over the decades, the 407th BSB has supported airborne and air assault operations in conflicts such as Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm, and the Global War on Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, the 407th BSB continues to enable the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, ensuring rapid and effective sustainment for airborne operations worldwide.
