The 3rd Battalion, 35th Field Artillery Regiment (3/35th FA) traces its lineage to the original 35th Field Artillery Regiment, constituted in the National Army in 1918. Reactivated for World War II, the battalion provided critical fire support in the European Theater, contributing to major campaigns such as the Rhineland and Central Europe. During the Vietnam War, 3/35th FA was deployed as a towed artillery battalion, supporting infantry operations with accurate and timely fire missions. Over the years, the unit has continued to demonstrate excellence in combat and garrison roles, upholding the proud traditions of the Field Artillery branch.
