The 3rd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment (3/2 ACR) is a storied unit in U.S. Army history. Originally activated during World War II, the regiment saw action in the European Theater, providing reconnaissance and security for advancing Allied forces. During the Cold War, 3/2 ACR was stationed in Germany as part of NATO forces, patrolling the border with the Warsaw Pact. In more recent years, the squadron has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, conducting reconnaissance, security, and stability operations as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
