The 2nd Battalion, 293rd Infantry Regiment (2/293rd Infantry) is a unit within the Florida Army National Guard. It traces its lineage to the 293rd Infantry Regiment, originally constituted during World War II as part of the 75th Infantry Division, serving in the European Theater. Over the decades, the 2/293rd has participated in numerous training exercises and has supported both state and federal missions, including domestic disaster response and overseas deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Today, the battalion continues to provide trained infantry soldiers for both national defense and state emergency operations.
