The 2nd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery Regiment (2-116th FA) is a unit of the Florida Army National Guard with a history dating back to World War I. Originally organized in 1917, the unit served as part of the 31st Infantry Division, providing artillery support during stateside training and later in France. Reactivated for World War II, 2-116th FA again supported the 31st Division in the Pacific Theater, participating in campaigns such as New Guinea and Southern Philippines. In the postwar era, the battalion has continued its service as part of the National Guard, supporting state and federal missions and participating in training exercises at home and abroad.
