Served from 1970 - 1978. Vietnam 1971-1972. From Jan 71 - Mar 71 assigned to the 25th Inf Div at FSB Leopard Main. Apr 71 - July 71 assigned 1/5 Mech Inf Quang Tri FSB Charlie Deuce. I was there May 21, 1971 when a 122 rocket hit a bunker direct resulting in 29 KIA and 30 Wounded. Aug 71 - Jan 72 assigned to 176 Inf Brigade in Danang. Attended 7th Army NCO Academy Bad Tolz Germany Oct 1974 Class 75-5, received General Douglas MacArthur Award for Leadership. Assigned to HQ Div Artillery 1st Armored Div 1973 - 1976. Finished my military career in Ft Hood TX, 2nd Armored Div 1976 - 1978
