The 152 Armored Company A, known as "Alpha Thunder," was established in the early 1980s as part of the 152nd Armored Battalion. Originally equipped with M60 Patton tanks, the unit participated in numerous large-scale training exercises during the Cold War, honing its expertise in armored warfare. In the early 2000s, Company A upgraded to M1A2 Abrams tanks and was deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom, where it provided vital armored support in several key engagements. Today, 152 Armored Company A continues to serve as a premier armored force, renowned for its operational readiness and combat proficiency.
