The 379th Supply Squadron was originally activated during World War II as part of the 379th Bombardment Group, providing essential logistical and supply support for heavy bomber operations in the European Theater. The unit was responsible for ensuring the availability of aircraft parts, fuel, munitions, and other critical materials necessary for sustained air missions. Reactivated during the Cold War, the 379th Supply Squadron continued its vital role, supporting Strategic Air Command operations and later, expeditionary missions in the Middle East. Throughout its history, the squadron has been recognized for its efficiency, adaptability, and crucial contributions to the success of U.S. Air Force missions worldwide.
