The **3500th Flying Training Wing** was an essential United States Air Force unit established in 1948 at Reese Air Force Base, Texas. Its primary mission was to conduct undergraduate pilot training for future USAF aviators, utilizing various trainer aircraft over the decades, including the T-33 and T-37. The wing played a critical role during the Cold War, ensuring a steady supply of highly trained pilots for the expanding Air Force. In 1972, the unit was redesignated as the 64th Flying Training Wing, continuing its legacy of excellence in pilot education and training.
