Tressa Rodriguez
I joined the Army right after my high school graduation in 1989 I was 17 years old. My basic training was done at Fort Dix, New Jersey. I attended MOS training, which was 91A - Combat Medic School, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After MOS training I was assigned to the 125th FSB, in Germany. I was deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Upon returning to Germany after deployment I was reassigned state side at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I was with the 106th Avation Battlion, I was a flight medic with this unit. I spent a few years at this base. Was promoted to Sergeant/E-5, then I changed my MOS to 91C, and attended training at Ft Sam Houston (Phase 1) & Ft Bliss (Phase 2). Upon completion of training I was assigned to Brooke Army Medical Center. I worked first on a surgical ward, then in 1997 trained and was assigned to the Tramua/Surgicsl ICU. I was also deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom. I left service in February 2006.
