About ROGER D VEILLON...

I enlisted in the Air Force on April 8, 1968, and was sent to Amarillo AFB for Basic Training. After Basic I went to Sheppard AFB for Helicopter Tech School and was assigned to the 100 OMS at Davis-Monthan AFB. I worked on CH-3 helicopters and was sent to Danang AB, Vietnam as a crew Chief to change two of our helicopters from January 1969 -June 1969. When I returned to Davis-Monthan I received orders to fly as a Flight Mechanic with the 21st Special Operation Squadron at NKP Thailand. After flight training school at Shaw AFT, Survival School and Rescue and POW school at Fairchild AFB and Jungle survival school at Clark AB in the Philippines I arrived in Thailand where I served from Dec 20th, 1969, till March 1972 with the 21st SOS as a flight Engineer. I was with the 350th SRS as a flight Engineer/Mechanic catching drones with the MARS system. In June 1976 I was discharged from the USAF.
