From 1966 to 1968, I served in the Engineer Corps, concluding my military service with the final rank of Specialist 5. Throughout his period of service, I operated within the Engineer group, holding the military occupational specialty of 12B10 Combat Engineer, Sappers, and subsequently the 12B30 Combat Engineer classification. My assignments during this timeframe included serving with the 18th Engineer Brigade on location in Quang Ngai Province, where promoted to the 12B30 specialty. Additionally, I was assigned to the Third Squad, D Company, 19th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineering Brigade, fulfilling my operational duties as a Combat Engineer, daily mine sweep, bridge building and repair, road construction of QL-1, under the 12B10 designation.
