Nick Guerrero
My dad was a Vietnam veteran, and I’m his oldest son. He passed away in 2022. My dad never really talked about his time in Vietnam, and all the footage and film he brought back with him was kept in a box that he never opened or watched. Because of that, I only know a little about his time there. I’ve been digging through archives, documents, and public records, trying to find as much information as I can about his service. I’ve also submitted a request for all of my dad’s military records and medical records, but it has been a long wait. The only information I currently have about his time in the war is the dates of his two tours and the units he served with. I’m hoping someone here might have known him or served alongside him. First Tour (1967–1968): 162nd Assault Helicopter Company, 3rd Gun Platoon, Phuoc Vinh. Second Tour (1969–1970): 173rd Airborne Brigade, Company D, 4th Battalion, 503rd Infantry, An Khe. His name was Pvt. Nicholas L. Guerrero, from Hawaii. I’m hoping someone might remember him, have served with him, or perhaps have some stories or information they could share. Any information, no matter how small, would mean a lot to me and my family. Thank you.
