I am the daughter of Joseph (or Jose Antonio), who joined up at 17 years old in Miami in 1973. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne division, honorably discharged after a practice jump with a faulty boot (ouch). Most of his platoon was KIA en route to some late stage deployment. Spent time at Benning, Ord, and Bragg.
