U.S. Navy Veteran

NMCB-133

I began his military career on active duty in the United States Navy. He entered recruit training at RTC Orlando, Florida, on August 8, 1994. After boot camp, he attended Navy Enlisted Training Command in Meridian, Mississippi, from November 5, 1994, to December 12, 1994. I then reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he served from December 13, 1994, to March 10, 1999. During his Navy service, he supported assignments and deployments that included locations such as Rota, Spain; Sigonella, Sicily; Bosnia; Guam; San Diego, California; Fort Gordon, Georgia; and Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his active-duty Navy service with an honorable discharge in 2001. After my active-duty service, I later continued my military career with the Ohio Air National Guard. I reenlisted on February 28, 2013, at the 178th Wing in Springfield, Ohio. During my Air National Guard career, I served in intelligence, cyber intelligence, open-source intelligence, intelligence support, deployment readiness, and unit-level operational roles. I served as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, ISR Line of Effort subject matter expert, and Unit Deployment Manager. I also supported state and domestic response missions, including COVID-19 support operations in Ohio. My later service included assignment with the 179th Cyber Operations Wing in Mansfield, Ohio. After completing 20 years of total military service, I retired from the Ohio Air National Guard as a Technical Sergeant on March 1, 2025.
