U.S. Navy Military Retiree
Joined the Navy V12 program in 1943 attending Wisconsin. Transferred to Notre Dame earning his BS in Aero in 1946. Was commissioned and discharged in 1946. Worked on the B-45 program at North American Aviation in LA. Rejoined Navy for flight school in 1948. 1951-1953, Flew 141 combat missions in Korea as part of VF-51 on the ESSEX and Coral Sea flying F9Fs. Joined VF-64 flying the F3H. Joined the 84th FIS in 1958 and flew F-89s and F101s. Went to War College in 1960. Served as a Navy Test pilot at McDonnel Aircraft from 1961 to 1963 flying F-4s. Joined VF-101 Flying F-4s from 1963 to 1964. Went to NAVAIR until retiring in 1969.
