I enlisted as a 24Q20 in 1977. After completing AIT I was selected to be an instructor at the Air Defense School, which was in Ft. Bliss, Texas. After a 8 months there, I was selected to be a member of the Air Defense Board I worked on the Hercules Site as a Nike Hercules Fire Control Mechanic. Our fire control section became the primary system for the Army. Other air defense systems were compared to us for accuracy. Our main base was Dona Ana missile range just outside El Paso. I'd love to connect with anyone who was at Ft Bliss between 1978 and 1981.
