93RD BOMB WING
U.S. Air Force
The 93rd Bomb Wing was originally established during World War II as part of the United States Army Air Forces, serving with distinction in the European Theater. Reactivated during the Cold War, it became a key component of the Strategic Air Command, operating B-52 Stratofortress bombers from Castle Air Force Base, California. Throughout the Cold War, the 93rd Bomb Wing maintained a state of constant readiness, participating in deterrence missions and various training exercises. The unit was inactivated in 1995 as part of post-Cold War restructuring, marking the end of an era for one of the Air Force’s most storied bomb wings.
834th Air Division
U.S. Army
The 834th Air Division was activated by the United States Air Force in 1957 under Tactical Air Command. Initially headquartered at England Air Force Base, Louisiana, the unit was responsible for overseeing tactical fighter operations and supporting airlift missions. During the Vietnam War, from 1966 to 1971, the division played a crucial role in directing airlift operations, including troop and cargo transport, at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in South Vietnam. The 834th Air Division was inactivated in 1971, having made significant contributions to both tactical air support and air mobility during its years of service.

USAF
U.S. Air Force
The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is responsible for air defense, air support, and aerospace operations. The USAF was officially established as a separate branch of the military in 1947, but its roots can be traced back to the formation of the Aeronautical Division of the U.S. Signal Corps in 1907. The USAF has a global presence, with bases and operations in countries around the world to protect U.S. interests and provide support to allies.
