USS **McKee** (DD-575) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy, commissioned in March 1943 during World War II. She served extensively in the Pacific Theater, providing fire support for amphibious landings, escorting fast carrier task forces, and participating in key operations such as the invasions of the Marshall Islands, Marianas, and the Philippines. The McKee earned eight battle stars for her wartime service, reflecting her active and distinguished combat record. After the war, she was decommissioned in 1946 and eventually struck from the Naval Vessel Register in 1972.

The NAVAL TRAINING CENTER SAN DIEGO (NTC/RTC SAN DIEGO) is a former military base located in San Diego, California. It served as a training facility for the United States Navy from 1923 until its closure in 1997. The base was responsible for training thousands of Navy recruits throughout its years of operation. Today, the site has been redeveloped into a mixed-use community known as Liberty Station.

USS Sides (FFG-14) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned into the United States Navy in 1981. Named in honor of Admiral John H. Sides, the ship served primarily in the Pacific Fleet, undertaking missions ranging from escort duties to anti-submarine warfare and maritime security operations. USS Sides notably participated in Operation Earnest Will in the late 1980s, escorting reflagged Kuwaiti tankers through the Persian Gulf during the Iran-Iraq War. After nearly two decades of service, the frigate was decommissioned in 2001 and later scrapped.

USS PROTEUS (AS-19) was a Fulton-class submarine tender commissioned by the United States Navy in 1944. Initially serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II, she provided vital maintenance and support to submarines engaged in combat operations. After the war, PROTEUS was modernized and played a key role during the Cold War, especially by supporting ballistic missile submarines as part of the U.S. nuclear deterrent force. She remained in active service through several decades, supporting submarine operations in both the Atlantic and Pacific before being decommissioned in 1992.
