The United States Naval Training Center (USNTC) Bainbridge, located in Port Deposit, Maryland, was established in 1942 during World War II as a major training facility for Navy recruits. At its peak, Bainbridge processed and trained hundreds of thousands of sailors, serving as a critical hub for boot camp, technical schools, and officer candidate training. The base continued to operate through the Korean War and into the Cold War era, adapting its mission to meet evolving Navy needs. USNTC Bainbridge was decommissioned in 1976, and the property was eventually transferred to local authorities, but its legacy remains significant in Navy history.

USS Manley (DD-940) was a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer commissioned by the United States Navy in 1957. Named after Captain John Manley, a notable figure from the American Revolutionary War, the ship served extensively during the Cold War era. Manley participated in significant operations including the Cuban Missile Crisis blockade in 1962 and deployments during the Vietnam War, providing naval gunfire support. The destroyer continued service through NATO exercises and Mediterranean deployments until being decommissioned in 1983.

USS Jonas Ingram (DD-938) was a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer commissioned by the United States Navy in 1957. Named in honor of Admiral Jonas H. Ingram, the ship served extensively during the Cold War, participating in fleet exercises, Mediterranean deployments, and NATO operations. In addition to her routine patrols, she took part in the Cuban Missile Crisis blockade in 1962 and supported space mission recoveries. After over two decades of active service, USS Jonas Ingram was decommissioned in 1983 and later sunk as a target in 1988.

NTC Orlando, or Naval Training Center Orlando, was established in 1968 in Orlando, Florida, as a key training facility for the United States Navy. The base served primarily as a Recruit Training Command, where thousands of Navy recruits underwent basic training, as well as advanced technical instruction in various naval specialties. At its peak, NTC Orlando played a crucial role in preparing sailors for service during the Vietnam War and the Cold War. The installation was closed in 1995 as part of a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative, with its functions transferred to other naval training centers.
