U.S. Army
The 902nd Military Intelligence Group (902nd M.I.G.) was a specialized unit of the United States Army focused on counterintelligence operations. Established in 1944, it played a critical role during the Cold War, conducting investigations and operations to detect and neutralize espionage, sabotage, and insider threats. Throughout its history, the unit supported both continental U.S. and overseas Army commands, providing security and intelligence support. In 2022, the 902nd M.I.G. was deactivated, with its mission and personnel integrated into the newly formed Army Counterintelligence Command as part of a modernization effort.
193rd Infantry
U.S. Army
The 193rd Infantry was a regiment of the United States Army formed during World War II. Activated in 1943, it was assigned to the 97th Infantry Division and participated in combat operations in the European Theater. The regiment saw action as Allied forces advanced into Germany in the war’s final months, contributing to the capture of key towns and the liberation of concentration camps. Following the end of hostilities in Europe, the 193rd Infantry was inactivated in 1946 as part of the Army’s postwar demobilization.
