The 101st Airborne Division is a specialized unit of the United States Army that is trained for air assault operations. It was created during World War II and gained fame for its role in the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944. The division has since participated in numerous conflicts around the world, including the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Known as the "Screaming Eagles," the 101st Airborne is considered one of the most elite and versatile divisions in the US military.
125th Military Intelligence Battalion

The 125th Military Intelligence Battalion was first constituted on 1 October 1981 and assigned to the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Tasked with providing intelligence collection and analysis, the battalion supported division operations throughout the Pacific region and during training exercises. The unit deployed elements in support of operations such as Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, delivering critical intelligence support to combat commanders. The 125th MI Battalion was inactivated on 15 September 2005 as part of Army modular transformation, with its lineage and assets realigned into new intelligence organizations within the division.
311th MI BN

The 311th Military Intelligence Battalion (311th MI BN) was originally constituted on 18 May 1942 as the 311th Signal Company, Wing, and activated at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. Over the decades, the unit underwent several reorganizations, ultimately being redesignated as the 311th Military Intelligence Battalion on 16 September 1982. The battalion has served in numerous conflicts, including the Vietnam War and Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, providing critical intelligence support to U.S. Army operations. Today, the 311th MI BN is assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where it continues its mission of delivering timely and actionable intelligence to support combat operations.
