VP-90

Patrol Squadron 90 (VP-90), known as the "Lions," was a United States Navy Reserve patrol squadron established on November 1, 1970, at Naval Air Station Glenview, Illinois. The squadron was equipped with the P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft, conducting anti-submarine warfare (ASW), surveillance, and reconnaissance missions during the Cold War. VP-90 participated in numerous exercises and operations, both domestically and abroad, often integrating with active-duty forces to maintain readiness and support NATO commitments. The squadron was disestablished on September 30, 1994, as part of post-Cold War force reductions.
VA-822

Attack Squadron 822 (VA-822) was a U.S. Navy Reserve attack squadron established on July 1, 1966, during the Vietnam War era. The squadron was based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, and primarily flew the A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft. VA-822 was activated as part of the increasing demand for carrier-based attack squadrons to support operations in Southeast Asia. The unit was deactivated relatively quickly, on August 2, 1968, as the need for reserve squadrons diminished.

VC-13, also known as Composite Squadron 13, was a United States Navy aircraft squadron established during World War II. Formed in 1943, the squadron was primarily tasked with providing air support for fleet operations, including anti-submarine warfare, target towing, and training missions. VC-13 operated a variety of aircraft, such as the FM-2 Wildcat and TBM Avenger, and was assigned to several escort carriers in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. The squadron was deactivated following the end of World War II as part of the post-war drawdown of U.S. naval forces.
VSF-76

VSF-76, also known as Fighter Squadron Composite 76, was a United States Navy squadron established in 1965. The unit was primarily tasked with providing fleet defense and close air support, operating aircraft such as the A-4 Skyhawk. VSF-76 was part of the Naval Reserve and played a vital role in augmenting active forces during periods of heightened operational demand. The squadron was eventually disestablished in 1986 as part of a wider reorganization of reserve aviation assets.

The squadron operated the P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft, performing anti-submarine warfare, reconnaissance, and search and rescue missions. Throughout its history, VP-94 participated in numerous exercises and real-world operations, including drug interdiction missions in the Caribbean and support for Operations Desert Storm and Allied Force. VP-94 was disestablished on 17 September 2006 as part of the Navy’s post-Cold War force restructuring.
