The 728th Military Police Battalion (MP), originally activated in 1942, has a distinguished history of service in the U.S. Army. It played a vital role during World War II, providing security and law enforcement support in the European Theater. After the war, the 728th MP Battalion was stationed in South Korea, where it became instrumental in maintaining order and supporting combat operations during and after the Korean War. Throughout its history, the unit has participated in numerous operations and continues to provide military police support, force protection, and law enforcement duties in the Asia-Pacific region.

The 40th Military Police Battalion was originally constituted on 28 October 1943 in the Army of the United States and activated on 2 November 1943 at Fort Custer, Michigan. During World War II, the battalion provided essential law enforcement, security, and order maintenance for U.S. forces in the European Theater. After the war, the unit was inactivated in November 1945 but subsequently reactivated and redesignated several times to meet the Army’s evolving military police needs. Today, the 40th Military Police Battalion continues to serve with distinction, supporting military operations, law enforcement, and force protection missions both at home and overseas.

The 260th Military Police Company (260th MP Co.) is a unit of the United States Army known for providing law enforcement, security, and combat support. Established during the Cold War era, the 260th MP Company has participated in various training exercises and deployments, both stateside and overseas. The unit has supported missions ranging from base security to convoy protection and detainee operations in major campaigns, including Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Renowned for its professionalism and adaptability, the 260th MP Company continues to uphold the proud traditions of the Military Police Corps.
