The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division Command (USACIDC), commonly known as CID, was established in 1971 to serve as the primary investigative arm of the U.S. Army for criminal matters. USACIDC is responsible for investigating felony-level crimes involving Army personnel and property, both in the U.S. and overseas. The 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), or 10th SFGA, was activated in 1952 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as the first Special Forces unit of the U.S. Army.
