Looking for anyone that I served with in 1968 in Vietnam. I carried an M-60 then. Don't remember anyone that I was with. Please Help. I was just 18yrs at that time. My gunner that I worked with was 23yrs old. Spend all of my time in the woods. I think I was in "C" company. Remember that I came home in April or May of 1968. Was getting paid and the pay master told me that I had to go back to main base with him. He didn't know why but I had to go home.

My mom had a house she rented rooms to soldiers and their families behind the Camp Indian wall. It was located in Ouijongbu City. My father William Glen Atwell was stationed there in 1959-1960. If anyone has pictures of the camp and its surrounding areas I would love to see them. The link above only showed two maps.

Milton Lee Echols R.I.P.

(Updated: January 10, 2020 12:17 PM)
I previously posted a notice that I had become aware of the death of PFC Milton Lee Echols, 1/79th FA C Btry, Ft. Ord CA, 1976-77. He died on Jan 6, 1985 4 days before his 27th birthday. He lived in Jackson MS and left a son behind. I just found out some of the details of what happened to him. Long story short an upset lady friend got in her car and as she drove away Milton tried to stop her. It is unclear how this happened but he was pinned between her moving car and a parked car just up the street a bit. He died at the scene. A very tragic end to a wonderful soul. Seeing him again was something I was looking forward to so this is an extremely disappointing end to one of the items on my bucket list.
