I was on the USS Sioux from 65-66 off coast of Vietnam.
Right now I am in need of help proving to the VA what my duties were as a Navy diver.
A letter from a brother sailor would be a blessing.

I'm Gene Kinnick,BUH-3 served in CBMU-301 at Dong Ha, Khe Sanh, Quang Tri, and with NSA at DaNang. I was in Charlie Co. while with the Battalion.

My father in law, Harry Samuels, was an engineer on a carrier in WW II. It would be good to give his grandchildren some of this history. He was from San Francisco and attended the UT Austin.

I served in Schweinfurt, GE where I met him. I visited him while he was stationed at Fort Drum, NY, where he ETSed. He served in Afghanastan and Iraq. His plans was to join the NYPD. Please help.
