I was RTO in Tam Binh. My C.O.'s were Major Kitchens, Lt. Davis, Major Shields, Captain Bamberg. Sgt. Hampton, medic Ritter Lt. Knight. I did return in November 2005.

VP44 at NAS NORVA was my first duty station right out of Boot Camp in 1951. I was assigned to the "Beach Crew." Left the squadron in '54 aboard the USS Hornet CVA12. Retired in 1973 as ADC.
