Father. Enlisted '50 or '51. Stationed at Great Lakes Navy Base is all I know. Last seen 1953 then disappeared, while on active duty. No notice from Gov't. I have limited knowledge.

Lanny, I think this is the ribbon that comes with the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. This one appears to have a bronze clasp with four loops. Each loop denotes recognition for exemplary service earned for segments of 3 yrs in peacetime or 1 yr in wartime. You should be very proud of it. It was used by both Army and AF till about 1963, when AF got it's own. email me back if you like or get more info by searching AFGCM. ironhorse@bellsouth.net
