"What's Your First Name"
Salad Bar ReunionIt was a beautiful Sunday afternoon July 15, 2008 just after church services. All old southern Baptist either go home to eat Sunday dinner or they go out for dinner. My wife and I have a bad habit of going out to eat after Sunday service. Especially since our children are all grown and live in their own homes. We were at the restaurant enjoying our meal when I decided to venture to the salad bar just one more time. That's when it happened, I seen this old buddy of mine from the Viet nam War that I clearly recognize. Only problem, I can't remember his firstname. My old buddy recognizes me about the same time and we began to approach one another with out reached hands for shaking, and both of us asking, "WHAT YOUR FIST NAME". We shook hands, we embraced one another. Frankly, we had a re-union right there at the salad bar. So much so, everyone in the restaurant got involved. We introduced our wives to one another. Then we began to share our life story which was amazingly similar to one another. Now we stay in touch and occasionally go out to breakfast or lunch. ' '

I recently made contact with a couple of my friends from basic and AIT. It's like we've never been apart.
