History of 445 ABW

The 445th Airlift Wing (445 ABW) is a unit of the United States Air Force Reserve, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Originally activated in 1952 as a troop carrier wing, the unit has undergone several redesignations, reflecting its evolving airlift missions, including support for tactical, strategic, and aeromedical operations.
