Remembering Jack Robinson who bravely died at IWO JIMA in WWII. His brother, Armon W. Robinson, also a Marine, became my husband. "Robbie" has since died, as has our 2nd son Daniel W. Robinson (U.S. Navy) who served at Gitmo during the Vietnam war. Memorial Day will always be observed with reverence and prayers by this 84-yr-old survivor of a patriotic family. ,Unfortunately Memorial Day and Veterans Day are only excuses for the Merchants to ruan a SALE. When you go to one of them LOOK> HOw many evn flyan Amrican Flag? Memorial Day is a time to show your honor to those who gave their all for freedom. A time to visit family and friends who have past on. Get together with family and friends and share memories. A time to honor all veterans of all wars.

Memorial Day means to me to remember all the soldiers that lost their lives defending our country & helping ensure peace in other countries. My brother gave his life in Vietnam at a young age, and never got to find out what life would really be about. I also lost alot of friends that served in Vietnam. My husband was also in Vietnam, and survived through all of it. Yet he suffered alot inside of what he went through. Especially how some people treated him when he came home. He suffered alot of stressful moments caused by the war. I think there should be a day to honor not just the fallen soldiers, but a special day to give tribute to all the soldiers that served our country in times of war.
